Catching up with Alzhaimer -3:The scholarships interview

These pictures were taken in May 17 , moments before and after we entered the scholarships interview ... to say the truth : I hav e seen those pictures like a zillion times before and I got sick of them .. I even posted them on facebook (First time ever to do that) but still they are very dear ,, they remind me of a weird moments.. I did not know exactly what to feel b but right before I entered I decided to be silly .. And so I was

I teased Zuzu with my sillieness , startled A7lam with what I know about muslim-arab history in Andalucia , made Dr. 7seen smile for my northen accent and -most important thing ever- saw the spark of proudness in Dr.Rinad's eyes.

I dont know how vague this memory will be after a year or two , but I think I would never forget the feeling of finally "fitting" into the world. I have always felt irrelevent , but that day when I came out I had a very big feeling of confidence and happines... Of course I did not forget to thank Allah for what he gave me , but still i was happy for being "me" because I would not have traded being me with ay other thing in the world.

Enjoy the pics :

Rasha faking a cry just to give the camera something to capture

It was a hard day .. when we were done we wnet up to language center parkig , cried a bit , laughed a bit but in our hearts we held BIG BIG prayers ^_^

Catching up with Alzhaimer-2:Korean traditional wedding

When I was a kid thinking that one day I will go to university I never thought it would be that crazy .. Sunday may 17 we actually had a WEDDING in university ... we had a parade and we walked from Languages Center untill the Main library and back ... it was so much fun and full of colors and music ...

The vey start of the Farde

Korean students studying arabic in Jordan had a wonderful day .. who would ever travel to study and end up dancing in a traditional wedding :)

Dont ask why: I like Mr. Kim a lot!!

Crowd

King and Queen
Juaquin Sabina :)

Sarah and Takwa-san with the monarchy family .. heheh

Takwa-san with the bride and the groom

Wonderful patterns

Yasmeen in Mask ... sugoi!!

Takwa-san in mask holding a japanese samurai fan ... it would have opened the wounds of korea... they had SOME history!!

Groom saluding Bride (Good boy)

Bride and her maids .. she has to cover her face during the whole cermony , and after the cermony she would see the groo for the first time in her life (Some Korean Bab El-7ara!)

Bride and groom would catch this piece of cloth (the one that the bride used to cover her face) and their parents would throw dates (yes!! Tamer!! It amazed me that they have it in Korea) and as much as they catch dates it symbolizes how wealthy and nice their life would be.

A picture is worth a 1000 words ^_^

The Groom is a true Shagfe!!

Crowd (again)

The wedding again at 4

It was a very ice event , we had tons of fun and fortuantely the disgusting people who would ruin such beautiful events did not have classes today , so we had the university all for ourselves.

Catching up with my Alzhaimer-1: A laptop for 2 JD's

I participated in the Korean Literature Contest kidding totally , I did not even think that I will make it till the end of the novel. But anyway I went to Jafar bookshop , paid the two JD's and bought the novel , and as I read I found a line that can lead me to a nice deep analysis. Its that the protagonist went through many experiences that looked like my own.
Being a country guy in a city is not something pleasant or easy (especially if you go to private sophisticated school like the one I used to go to) God how much I hated my life by then .. so writing this analysis was the way out for all my negative feelings.
I handed it out in the last day (Typical me!!) and on the evening of May 13 I was trying to study something for my Spanish scholarship test when I got that funny phone call from the secretery of Asian Languages Department telling me that I won 2nd place. I was devestated .. I thought I wrote a very nice topic and no one would possibly top me .. i wrote it from the depth of my heart .. how can that happen!! I got mad and slept.
Second day I am sitting on my morning chair reading and accepting the tuth a little bit more. Sadoof came along and I told her about the phone call , she was not done comforting me when I got a phone call from a Korean teacher telling me with her funny arabic thatI need to be in El-Kindi at 10 beacuse I won first place and I have to read my analysis for the audience!!!!
Sadoof was jumping and so was I ... I thought that God had a better plan than mine: winning the first pkace after accepting the truth of going second is even better. Also I thought that God wants me to behave when it comes to my writing atitude. I need to remeber that iys a agift from God that can be taken from me the moment I feel arrogant. I was happy .. if God still sends me messages then he cares .. and what is better than Gods care!!
This is the translator Mr. June and Dr. Lee jung ... Mr. June speaks a wonderful arabic .. friends told me that he studied arabic for 17 years so far. Dr. Lee jung speaks japaneseand chinese .. she was so thrilled about me winning and she talked to me in japanes (not to mention that I was extremly ashamed of my rusty level in japanese!!)
The korean ambassador .. he is so cute , I read in the program that he is the one to hand me the prize so I told Dr. Rinad to tell him that I dont shake hands . He did not!! he just bowed to me in respect and he was more than happy to listen to me reading the analysis although he did not speak arabic.
Takwa-san reading the analysis.. the writer Mr. Lee Dong Ha was among the audience .. I must admit: He was bored till death while I was reading .. I guess the music of arabic did not appeal to him
I guess that the head blocking the picture belongs to Ahmad .. anyways I will be more than happy to have his head blocking the picture : he has a good head and a good taste .. it seems that smart men did not go extincy after all!!
They say it: eyes on the prize!!
Am not in the picture but the Laptop is in it .. what more do I need?!
Opening the Box to have the first look:
Step one:
Step two:
First encounter with my laptop whom I called" Mr. June" after the translator
We(Sara Lujain and Takwa-san) went up to the magnificent wall (essour el3ajeeb) and ate shawerma and celebrated.
This is my Certificate ... of which I am so proud (please notive the yellow paper rose!! It fell in our way to Seveen but we found it in our way back ... its nice and so Korean)
Translating the anlaysis to English :
Dr.Hye Jin Park the Korean translator who called me in first place asked me to translate the analysis to english so she will translate it to Korean , then It will enter a contest between other analysises from around the arab countries and the winner gets a fully paid trip to KOREA!!!
In the picture you can see the mess I made around me translating and sending done parts to Dr.Park ... It might have been the weiredest translation I have ever done ... my mind was working on many lines but still could deliver a fine translation. (Nothing fits me like arabic ,,, NOTHING).
Finally get to meet my Laptop after he came bach from programming alive and kicking:
Welcome to my World little creature :)

A piece of my heart called :Yunjii

Who would ever think that a year would pass so fastly!! It has been a year since I first met me dearest dearst Yunjii for the very first time. It was pure coincidence in the gym and we ended up being friends , even sisters. May 14 Yunjii and I went down to Wast El-Balad so I bought her a present ; a copy of The Holy Quran in both arabic and english and Mp3 CD.

We had lunch together , had a cute chat , had a tour around the garden and then gave her a ride to where Menjuu and another friend waited for her to celebrate the last night in Jordan.
When I hugged her good bye I could not help my tears.. Yunjii is one of a scarce type of people whom you deeply love for whom they are .. The idea of how far 'Korea' is, gave that troubling feeling that goes yelling down the skull: It might be the last time we meet...

I have alwyas believed in the power of prayer that prevents me from being pulled apart from those whom I love. To my dearest Yujnii I am so proud of you , of all the wonderful things you accomplished in one year . Most of all I am proud that my life consisted such a wonderful person like you.

Always remeber my wisdom that says: "In a world where there is Facebook , there are no good-yes" ^_^

God bless you .

Crossroad

For some vague reason I love this picture .. I took it infront of Al-ahli Bank park exit ...
Those convex mirrors have always made me think ... and this special spot makes me think even more : its close to the dark pub that I always feel it has ghosts in it , close to cervantes , close to all the lovely spots in Amman ... I am in the picture , Can u find me?

10 out of 10

Taken from the window of room 12 in Foriegn Languages building .
Taken from the university adminstration building , floor number 4 - on our way to the international relationships office to ask about Erasmus -

These pictures are taken through windows in University of Jordan ...The glass is not noticable , thats why I give the university's cleaning crew a 10 out of 10 for their impressive work :)

Although

It has been so long since I last modified the blog , and I was thinking like: "If I am the only one writing and reading the blog then no one is missing anything" until Lujain tells me: it has been so long since I last logged in the net and I noticed that you have not changed anything in your blog... She reminded me of a bastard friend (may he rust in hell) and coming back to the blog I wanna thank Lujain .. not for noticing the absence , but for being human enough to tell me she noticed .. it means a lot to me ..

Thats not me :)

For those who are worried that I lost half my weight on the blog opening picture, I would like to reassure you that this girl is not me. She is my friend Rasha Ancha who is now enjoying an Erasmus scholarship in the University of Granada. Rasha somes from a family like mine and has a personality thats way too close to mine ,this is why when I see how Sapin influenced her as a person I feel so good and I look forward to the future.

Dream a dream and live up to it : When I go there when Allah wills I wil take a picture just like this one .. Its a promise :)
